Dr. Walsh grew up in Central Ohio and has lived in the area most of his life. He joined the Johnstown community in 1992 when he began practicing alongside the esteemed Dr. Joseph Urdock. Dr. Walsh is proud to carry the distinct honor of continuing the lineage of the dedicated caring dental professionals that served the community before him.

As a clinician who prides himself as a student of the dental arts, Dr. Walsh’s list of education and training shows that he believes the best dental caregivers are the most well-rounded. His favorite part of being a dentist is building relationships with the people in his community and providing happiness to those in need of dental care.

Family always comes first to Dr. Walsh. His wife, JoAnn, is his strength. They have six children that are now grown and now JoAnn helps manage the practice. Dr. Walsh enjoys being active and outside when he is not serving patients. He really enjoys vintage muscle cars and tinkering on house projects. Dr. Walsh is also an avid water sports fanatic and loves the water.

Dr. Mary Kalec is a highly skilled and compassionate dentist with more than 30 years of experience in the dental profession. Her journey in dentistry began at Ohio State University, where she earned a degree in dental hygiene in 1984, then later obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1995. Known for her unwavering commitment to patient care and passion for creating healthy, beautiful smiles, Dr. Kalec has established herself as a trusted practitioner in New Philadelphia, Ohio, and the surrounding areas.

One of the aspects that Dr. Kalec cherishes most about her profession is the opportunity to interact with both her co-workers and patients. Dr. Kalec believes that providing personalized and effective dental treatment requires strong relationships and open communication with her patients.

When not helping her patients achieve optimal oral health, Dr. Kalec finds joy in spending her time outdoors and exploring nature through activities such as hiking, biking, and walking her beloved dogs. Family is also an essential part of her life, and she has been happily married to her husband, George, for more than 32 years. Together, they have raised three children: George and Paul, both of whom work in New Albany; and Julianne, who resides in Chicago.
